Portage des Sioux is located approximately 12 miles from St. Charles and 9 miles from West Alton. Take MO-94 to CR J and then 1 mile into Portage des Sioux. Take a right on Common Field Street and go approximately 1/4 mile to Le Seurre Street and follow this street to the river and the shrine.

The STL250 cake was removed and auctioned off at the end of 2014.

The pictures below are of a model hand made by Glenn Folkerts and his wife June of the Shrine with the boats going around during the Blessing of the Fleet.  The boats actually move as they circle the island.  June is still very active with the Antique and Classic Boat Society - Mississippi Valley Chapter.
